coil pickups for Tele style guitars
V
V G offers several varieties of Tele style pickups with tones
ranging from vintage to modern. The V V G Tele bridge pickup
comes with interchangeable steel and copper base plates to allow
you to shape your tone. The V V G tele neck pickup has higher
output and more tonal character than you're use to hearing in
a neck pickup. |

Soapbar
"P-90" style single coil pickups
These pickups deliver the classic P-90 tone and have grounded
shielding to reduce noise from external electric fields. Adjustable
height nickel plated pole pieces, twin bar magnets (AlNiCo-V
or ceramic-8) and 3-conductor output leads. The magnet assembly
can be removed from the pickup with ease allowing one to change
from AlNiCo to ceramic. These pickups ship with complete sets
of bar magnets in both AlNiCo-5 and ceramic-8. Covers in black
or creme are included as are the mounting screws. |

Dogear

VVG offers several options. These pickups are available with
either AlNiCo or ceramic magnets and can be wound to deliver
the tone you're after. |

Humbucker-size
"P-90" style single coil pickups
The HS-90 pickups deliver the classic P-90 tone and are drop-in
replacements for standard size humbucking pickups. Adjustable
height nickel plated pole pieces, twin bar magnets (AlNiCo-V
or ceramic-8) and 3-conductor output leads. The magnet assembly
can be removed from the pickup with ease allowing one to change
from AlNiCo to ceramic. These pickups ship with complete sets
of bar magnets in both AlNiCo-5 and ceramic-8. Standard colors
include black, creme and faux tortoise shell. Metal covers (nickel
or gold plated) are also available. |

Blade
polepiece single coil pickups for strat style guitars
These pickups are hand made in the USA the old fashioned way
and deliver the clear bell-like tone you're after. Buddy Holly
would have loved these! Mild steel polepiece with ~ 10”
radius (other polepiece shapes, including flat available on
special request). Twin ceramic magnets with calibrated output; 42
gauge magnet wire; 8,500 turns on the bridge pickup, 7,500 on
the neck and middle. Scatter wound coil and vintage-style cloth
covered output leads complete the package. |

These custom-wound pickups have more output and tonal character
than standard Jaguar pickups! The V V G Jaguar style pickups
feature grounded shielding for reduced noise, are scatter-wound
for great tone, potted under vacuum to eliminate microphonics
and have calibrated AlNiCo-V rod magnets. These pickups are
offered as a matched reverse wound, reverse polarity (RWRP)
set. White covers and mounting screws can be ordered for these
pickups. |

output with a focused clear tone. These pickups feature grounded

wound, reverse polarity(RWRP) set. These pickups are designed
to allow the owner to change magnets; each set of pickups ship
with one set of magnets installed and one extra set of magnets.

pickups have an unslotted mild steel blade polepiece, twin bar
magnets (AlNiCo-V or ceramic-8) and vintage cloth covered output
leads. These pickups are often installed in the neck position
to Tele style guitars, lap steel guitars and jazz boxes. The
CC-Rider pickup is available with beveled tops in BWB, WBW,
faux tortoise shell. The CC-Rider may be purchased as a single
or in calibrated RWRP sets. |

I designed a version of the V V G Vintage Shorty to be compatible
with Tele neck covers. The result is a very cool looking pickup
(available in chrome or gold) that has strat tone to die for!
These pickups are available with either vintage cloth covered
output leads or brided shielded output leads. The middle pickup
is reverse polarity, reverse wound (RWRP). |
